      Hi Haribuvanesh,

You have to try with an email ID that has not been used with app store before. Like I mentioned in the article above, do the following:
      1) Connect your phone to iTunes and click on a Free app. This is a must.

      2) It will ask you to use your email, there you got to select create new. Provide an email add that you haven’t used with iTunes/ app store before. Only if you do these steps, you can get ‘None’ option.

You can try these steps directly from iPhone as well. Let me know if still doesn’t work.

Doesn’t work anymore. apple has disabled the ‘none’ field in payment options

    • Doesn’t work anymore. apple has disabled the ‘none’ field in payment options

      Hi Sahir,

Apple hasn’t disabled ‘none’ option. I just created a free account to ensure it’s not disabled. You too can create an account without any credit card info. All you have to do is to create a brand new iTunes store ID. Here is the clearer steps:
      1) Connect your iPhone to iTunes.
      2) Sign out from your existing account in iTunes. (MUST)
      3) Click on iTunes Store in iTunes
      4) Choose a FREE app from the list. You can find it at the far right bar, below “Top Charts >> Free Apps” (MUST, You will not get the ‘none’ option if you choose a Paid app)
      5) Click on “Free App” button
      6) Click on “Create New Account” (MUST) You CANNOT use back an existing account.
      7) Provide an email that you’ve not registered with Apple (MUST)
      8) Follow instruction and you can see the ‘None’ option in the Payment method..

Again, ‘none’ option will only be shown if you create a NEW account. You can’t get this option if you’re trying to re-use the existing ID.

Hope it works for you. I just created a free account to ensure it’s not disabled. Please let me know the outcome.

And for paid apps? How can they bought if they’re US-only, for people in other countries?
