How to Import Contacts to iPhone and iPad from Microsoft Outlook

Sometimes you may want to import contacts to your iPhone or iPad or other iOS Devices from Microsoft Outlook. The following article will show you how you can do this.

Importing Contacts from Outlook to iPhone and iPad using iTunes

Step 1: Connect your iPhone or iPad to iTunes on the PC

Step 2: Once the iTunes detect your iDevice, click on Info tab in iTunes

Step 3: Tick “Sync Contacts with” and Select “Outlook”. You will get a message telling you that your contacts are being synced with iCloud over the air, if you have choosen to iCloud to backup your contacts. Click Ok.

Step 4: Click on Apply / Sync in iTunes. This will transfer the contacts fromĀ  your PC / Outlook to your iPhone or iPad.

Note: If you are using iCloud to backup your contacts, syncing to your Outlook may create duplicate contacts on your device.

Tips: Scroll down to “Advanced”. Here you can set if you want to replace Contacts, Calendars, Mail Accounts and Notes on the iPhone or iPad using the information on your PC. Please choose this carefully, if you have contacts that are not on your Computer but only on your phone, you will lose those contacts if you select this option.
